Select Telegram.exe Path
Select the path to your official Telegram Desktop application. BetterTelegram will inject into this instance.
Important Notice
Only use the official Telegram Desktop client. Do not use third-party Telegram clients or modified versions.
Common Telegram Paths
- C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Roaming\Telegram Desktop\Telegram.exe
- C:\Program Files\Telegram Desktop\Telegram.exe
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Telegram Desktop\Telegram.exe
Administrator Required
If Telegram is installed in Program Files or Program Files (x86), you must run BetterTelegram as Administrator to inject successfully. Right-click BetterTelegram and select "Run as administrator".
How to Find Your Telegram Path
Easy Method:
- 1. Right-click on Telegram Desktop shortcut
- 2. Select "Open file location"
- 3. Copy the full path from the address bar
- 4. Add "\Telegram.exe" at the end
Win + R, type %appdata%\Telegram Desktop, and press Enter. This will open the Telegram folder directly.

Injection & Restart
Once BetterTelegram is injected, all Telegram instances will close automatically. You need to restart Telegram.
Keep BetterTelegram Running
Do NOT close BetterTelegram! It must remain running in the background for the injection to work. You can minimize it to the system tray.
What Happens During Injection
- ✓ BetterTelegram injects security modules into Telegram
- ✓ All Telegram windows will close automatically
- ✓ You'll see a notification when injection is complete
- ✓ Simply restart Telegram to use BetterTelegram features
